1. About this policy
Double M Empower Pty Ltd (ABN 97 702 535 055) ("Double M Empower", "we", "us" or "our") provides coaching and empowerment services to clients in Perth, Western Australia. We are committed to managing personal information in an open and transparent way, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect your personal information, and how you can access, correct or complain about the handling of your information. This policy applies to information collected through our website at https://doublemempower.site, by email, and in the course of providing our coaching and empowerment services.
2. What personal information we collect
The types of personal information we collect depend on the nature of your dealings with us and may include:
- your name and contact details, such as your email address;
- information you provide when you submit an enquiry, request a quote or book a coaching session, including your goals, circumstances and any background information you choose to share;
- records of our communications with you, including emails and notes made in the course of coaching sessions;
- billing and administrative information reasonably necessary for the provision of our services; and
- technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies and website analytics.
We generally do not collect sensitive information (such as health information) about you. If you voluntarily provide sensitive information so that we can provide appropriate coaching and empowerment services, we will only collect, use and store that information with your consent and for the purpose for which you provided it.
3. How we collect personal information
Wherever practicable, we collect personal information directly from you, including:
- when you complete a form on our website, such as our enquiry or quote request forms;
- when you contact us by email;
- during coaching sessions, consultations and related correspondence; and
- when you subscribe to updates or otherwise interact with us.
We may also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit our website, as described in section 9 of this policy. We will not collect personal information unless it is reasonably necessary for one or more of our functions or activities, or you have consented to the collection.
4. Why we collect and use personal information
We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for purposes including:
- responding to your enquiries and providing requested information;
- preparing quotes and delivering coaching and empowerment services to you;
- administering our business, including scheduling, invoicing and record keeping;
- communicating with you about your sessions, programs and our services;
- improving our website, services and client experience; and
- complying with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We will only use or disclose your personal information for the primary purpose for which it was collected, or for a related purpose you would reasonably expect, or where otherwise permitted or required by the APPs.
5. Anonymity and pseudonymity
Where it is lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym, for example when making a general enquiry about our services. However, we generally require your name and contact details to provide coaching services, prepare a quote or respond to a specific request.
6. Direct marketing
We may use your personal information to send you updates about our coaching and empowerment services where you have consented or where you would reasonably expect this and you have not opted out. Every direct marketing communication will include a simple way to opt out, and you may also withdraw consent at any time by emailing us at ceo@doublemempower.site. We will not use or disclose your personal information for direct marketing contrary to APP 7.
7. Disclosure of personal information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We may disclose personal information to third parties where reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, including:
- service providers who assist us with website hosting, email communication, scheduling and administrative functions;
- professional advisers, such as accountants, where reasonably required for our business operations; and
- government agencies, regulators or courts, where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
Some of our service providers may store or process personal information outside Australia, including through cloud-based hosting and email services. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient does not breach the APPs in relation to that information, in accordance with APP 8.
8. Security, quality and retention of personal information
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, as required by APP 11. These steps include limiting access to personal information to those who need it for their work and using appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
We also take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, up to date and complete (APP 10), and we only retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for our business purposes or as required by law, after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.
9. Cookies and website analytics
When you visit our website, we may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve its performance. This may include information such as your IP address, the pages you view and the time of your visit. Most browsers allow you to manage or disable cookies through your settings; doing so will not prevent you from accessing our website, although some features may not function as intended.
10. Access to and correction of your personal information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and request correction of information that you believe is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, in accordance with APPs 12 and 13. There is generally no charge for making a request, although a reasonable fee may apply where significant work is required to locate or provide the information. In limited circumstances, we may decline a request where permitted under the Privacy Act; if so, we will explain the reasons for our decision.

We take privacy complaints seriously and will acknowledge your complaint promptly, investigate it fairly and impartially, and respond to you within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) via its website at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The current version will always be published on this page, together with the date of the most recent update. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
